"All Human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood." Article 1, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Vision

We dream of a world full of peace and friendship. Unfortunately, people all over our precious planet have to face war, crisis and epidemics. All of us should try to live in friendship and harmony with other, disregarding our skin color, geografical origin or religious background. Although it sounds easy, we all know how difficult it can be.

On December 10th, 1948 the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" (UDHR) was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations, after been drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world. From this moment onward this declaration set out to protect fundamental Human Rights - universally.

Inspired by this grand milestone of human history we create jewellery that can be worn by everybody and for every occasion, whilst at the same time reminding us of the highly important Human Rights. Furthermore, we do not only produce meaningful jewellery, but support various organizations financially that fight for Human Rights all over the world like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

The declaration commits to personal rights, such as the right to life and physical integrity, freedom from torture, body and flogging liberties as each individual's rights to liberty, property, security of person, freedom of expression, thought, conscience and religion. However evident they seem, these rights cannot be oberved in all parts of the world. Show your support and allegiance to these rights and wear jewelry, which is not only beautifuly, but also contains a message with a meaning.

Quality

Since 1964, when M.Y. Gilardy founded the company, GILARDY stands for exceptional, high quality jewellery and fine gemstones. For over 50 years now, the company is cutting and selling coloured gemstones like Turquoise, Garnet, Blue Topaz and many others. Back then its seat was in Milano, Italy. In Idar-Oberstein, Germany, one of the most important gemstone cutting centers in Europe, the first office opened in 1970. From then onwards the portfolio of products and services grew constantly. In 2006 the son of M.Y. Gilardy, David Gilardy, started to design jewellery lines. Among those are the lines: Amore, Goccia, Musa and many others. They were introducted year by year to the international market.
