Since 1964 GILARDY stands for extraordinary, high quality jewellery and fine gemstones. Founded by M.Y. Gilardy more than 50 years ago, the company started with cutting and selling coloured gemstones like Turquoise, Garnet, Blue Topaz and many others. At that time the center of activities and the headoffice was in Milan / Italy. 1970 the first office was opened in Idar-Oberstein / Germany, one of the most important gemstone cutting centers in Europe.

Since then the portfolio of products and services expanded steadily. In 2006 for David Gilardy, son of M.Y. Gilardy, time started to design full design jewellery lines. Collections like Amore, Goccia, Musa and many others were introducted year by year to the international markets. In 2016 David Gilardy designed and introduced the "GILARDY HUMAN RIGHTS COLLECTION".
This collection is made with High-Quality Stainless steel and is available in different design variations. All metal items are available in four colors, 'white/silver' high polished stainless steel, black Ruthenium plating, 18K Yellow or Pink Gold plating. All GILARDY items are made with the highest craftsmenship skills and the best available materials in order to guarantee a great pleasure to wear for many years.

Buiness owner and CEO David Gilardy is the third generation to run the company. He is a native of Idar-Oberstein, the German gemstone city in Rhineland-Palatinate. In his father's business, the gemstone cutting and wholesaling company M.Y. Gilardy, which has existed since 1964 to this day, he became acquainted with the gemstone and jewelry industry with all its finesse at an early age. After numerous apprenticeships in the field of diamonds, colored gemstones and jewels/jewelry as well as studies in business administration in Mannheim/Germany, he first worked for the jewelry chain Christ, was sales manager of Bulgari for Northern Europe for several years and led the Hermès boutiques in Germany as sales director. In 2006 he founded GILARDY Fine Jewelry in Munich.
